Oy Vey.
I'm sure agents for other illustrators spend their time marketing and negotiating. My agent, David Goldman, spends his time on damage control because of ME.
Please let me explain.
Recently during an interview, a magazine reporter asked a question that has become the question of my DOOM. She asked which song best describes my work or myself. I had just returned from Oklahoma. I was mentally and physically exhausted.
I told the reporter the song that bests describes me is "Bootylicious".
I thought "Bootylicous" meant "really good artist". It was only after the interview that I came across this:
Bootylicous by Desiny's Child. Also known as "Yangblog, you're DOOMED. Again."
I am really super duper pooper sorry. Seriously. Nobody needs to see "Yangblog" and "bootylicious" in the same sentence . My apologies to readers who have frantically scratched their eyes to erase this horrifying image. It is useless to scratch your eyes. The image is in your "mental eye" which is behind your real eyeballs.
I am also sorry I didn't know the lyrics:
I don't think you're ready for this jelly
I don't think you're ready for this jelly
I don't think you're ready for this
Is my body's too bootylicious for ya babe
I am really really sorry. Trust me, NOBODY is ready for Yangblog's jelly. I am pretty sure Abby thinks my jelly needs to be recalled. I also apologize for putting "Yangblog" and "jelly" in the same sentence. Remember to scrape your mind's eye and not your real eyes.
I need to run because Beyonce is on the phone.
She wants to know why her music sales have suddenly plummeted.

My daughter was at a summer theater camp two years ago and there was a performance at the end of each week for the parents. Each age group had a different dance routine to learn. They were each set to a song about sweets, so the five-year-olds danced to "The Good Ship Lollypop" and so on. There was one group that performed to "Fruitylicious" in jelly jar costumes (actually just big shirts painted with various fruit names), but it was really this song. They didn't use a Kidzbop version or anything. So whether little kids or Yang goes less with this song is an ongoing debate in my head.
For those of you trying to scratch your mind's eye, check this out and it should take care of it.....
