Readers want to know what in the hell the Isley Brothers have to do with creating art. Could I explain art in a way which actually MAKES SENSE? Since Yangblog strives to enrich and enlighten, please let me try again. Perhaps creating art is not like channeling the Isley Brothers.
Creating art is more like channeling Marvin Gaye.
Yangblog is Korean for "Korea's answer to Marvin Gaye", so I know a thing or two about being Marvin Gaye. As you know, Marvin can sing the National Anthem and make it sexy. Marvin wasn't trying to be sexy. He was just being Marvin. You know what I'm talking about?
Same thing with creating art. You can't try to make art. You just have to BE the artist.
The canvas is your lady and you have to tell the canvas not to worry her pretty little head. You are going to make everything all right. Just relax and listen to Barry White and enjoy the incense. That's right, Miss Pretty Blank Canvas, soon, very soon you will transform into a magnificent butterfly and . . .
