What Planet Are You On?

Discovery Channel's Planet Earth has made the Yang household very happy we have HDTV. Never mind the fact that it is genetically impossible for a man to NOT want HDTV, this series is breathtaking.

Yangblog has always loved shows like Planet Earth and has applied many lessons learned from nature. For example:

1) It is very important NOT to be the slowest or weakest in the herd if you don't want to be EATEN. I am a fast illustrator for this same reason. In fact, I have shaved the hair off my arms to reduce "drag" while I am drawing.

2) For males, it seems "showing off" or "impressive plumage" is important for attracting a mate. Thank heavens I knew how to do the "Robot" when I was single.

3) Some species share food with the pack for survival. Same with the Yangs. I always share what I order at dinner with Abby. If I don't Abby will kill me. With her bare teeth. That would really hurt.

Finally, I think I found the animal I would be if I were not a Yang.

We were watching an episode on rivers and lakes. The Bamboo Shrimp survives in rivers with heavy currents. There are no predators to threaten the shrimp and there is little competition for finding food. All he does is sit on his FAT ASS and hold his arms out while the current brings him food. Mr. Shrimp just sits there as food MAGICALLY appears on his arms.

Abby said this is the lifestyle for ME.

I was thinking the same thing.
